In partnership with Ankura, The Suniti Solomon Foundation supported community women in transforming everyday materials into meaningful income. Through hands-on training in traditional palm-leaf basket weaving and creative denim upcycling, participants learned to turn simple scraps into durable, eco-friendly products.

What began as a skill-building effort soon became a livelihood opportunity—beautifully crafted baskets and denim bags were produced and sold to schools, creating steady earnings from time that once went unused. This initiative not only revived local craft skills but also helped women build confidence, financial independence, and pride in their work.
